Unfortunately, all Census TIGER/Line and cartographic boundary shapefiles are down as of this evening.

This means that the tigris #rstats and pygris #Python packages will not work, and geometry support in tidycensus will also fail.

The Census API, for now, is still up.

The ACLU is looking for trans individuals effected by the recent transphobic Executive Order in order to bring a lawsuit against it. Here is a form if you are comfortable submitting your info to potentially be represented by the ACLU to fight this EO.

For Christmas Eve, my family always has bratwurst and potato salad (lemon, parsley, garlic, and olive oil). A perfect mix of my maternal grandparents (German and Palestinian). No other holiday do we have a set menu. What holiday food traditions do you have?

The potato salad is ready and marinating!
