Is it Berube's system to not worry about the neutral zone? Hard forecheck on o-zone, tight 5-man unit in the d-zone, but the neutral zone, like last night for Tampa, is like the Red Sea...maybe you can only have 2 out of 3? (which ain't bad)

04.10.2025 13:10 β π 81 π 16 π¬ 7 π 3Reviews give my writing life, give my ambitions, some spine. I'll never be able to reconcile their absence. It's worrisome.
24.09.2025 14:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can't shake the angst, even knowing how few review venues exist.
But the flip side--are younger poets of the same mindset? Are reviews nice to have, not need to have? It's possible that beginning a career when review culture is near-nonexistent has bred ambivalence to them.
A discussion we had at Coach House ed board--how to convey to our older authors that reviews, or number of, are no longer a way to gauge reception.
I'm a case in point: I'm "older." This is the 2nd review Lossless has received, and it's not looking good for another, 1 1/2 years past pub date. π±
Lossless reviewed.
"The prose poems are standouts: Tierney crafts what seem to become miniature films within the tight and witty narrative space of his works." βοΈ Caleb Edmondson, Mid-American Review, Bowling Green State U.
Speaking of reviews...
