Tangential but on the F1A podium Chambers was the only one I saw to take swig as she's 21.

Apart from the first lap that was one boring ass race. The qualifying and F1 Academy race were much more entertaining.

5/ Next year we need better tv direction with more footage (esp onboard) for replays of incidents like the one that caused the safety car in this race, rather than that crap replay repeated multiple times. Definitely need more rounds, both for fan enjoyment and for a fairer title fight.

4/ Provisional predictions for next year: My money is on Alisha Palmowski for the championship but will be pushed hard by Lloyd and Larsen with Gademan and Felbermayr close behind them...

3/ Strong defence by Alisha against a hard charging Maya, who I felt quite sorry for during the podium ceremony, she was obviously very upset. Strong drives by Larsen and Lloyd with a good recovery by Felbermayr considering her technical gremlins...

2/ Congrats to Pin for the Championship, she drove with controlled aggression. But what I really enjoyed was Chloe's dominant lights-to-flag win +fastest lap without the benefit of a tow, a classic "Chlodiuuuum" and a good end to her F1A stint....

1/ Now that was a proper race! Apart from the 1 safety car there was plenty of hard but fair racing throughout the field (probably much was missed by the meh tv director), hopefully they'll be covered in a highlights real...

Hate when that happens, and it always reminds me of an old article by Alexei Sayle who said those people don't have indicators but rather afterthoughticators.

1st race done, lots of action but not in a good way, very frustrating, lots of heart break. Feel so sorry for Larsen, great results for Nobles and Robertson. The Chambers/Palmowski incident was esp annoying, shades of Montreal, better not pull that shit tomorrow!

Haha hell yeah! Another pole for Chloe 'Qualifying Queen' Chambers with team mate Palmowski in P2. Now if we could not have a repeat of what happened in Montreal that'd be great...
Excellent P3 for Larsen and good results for Felbermayr (7) and Ferreira (9).

Congrats to Lisa for securing a seat, not surprise given how well she drove as a Wild Card entry.
Although not a big deal in the grand scheme of things I'm wondering why she won't be driving in the colours of an F1 team?

The UN climate change conference (COP30) having rooms shut down both to flooding and an extreme fire is a bit metaphorically excessive.

In no particular order and not counting Lloyd/Stevens: Palmowski (my pick for champion), Kosterman, Billard, Felbermayr, Gademan, Larsen and Ferreira.

I'd really like to see Rianna O’Meara-Hunt get a chance in F1A before she ages out.

I'm a big F1A fan, and while I'm miffed my fave (Chloe Chambers) is no longer a title contender I'm hoping she'll finish on a high. For the title fight I'm backing Weug, barring any mishaps.
But how good are those viewing times for us Kiwis?! Even better than Melbourne.

If you oppose the announcement to ban puberty blockers for trans youth you might want to block this joker in the screen shot.

TBH I haven't given it that much thought, CoC is a useful shorthand to describe the Gov especially given the character limit. I agree coalitions aren't bad, for me the stress in 'CoC' is on the 'of Chaos' rather than 'Coalition'.

Totally tangential and unlikely to happen, but yesterday evening I was thinking it'd be nice if she returned home before the next round of local body elections and ran to be mayor of Auckland.

The #Uber loss in the Supreme Court β€œhighlights a grey area in the law”, says Brooke Van Velden.
It’s been through 3 courts. The judges were unanimous. There’s nothing grey about it. The law is black & white. WORKERS HAVE RIGHTS! That’s the real β€œproblem” this anti-worker govt wants to β€œfix” #nzpol
