Obviously, sowing panic isn’t smart. But if we stay quiet & disorganized while these shifts happen, we lose the narrative.

We need to supplement Trump’s egregiousness w/ a clear framing of what he’s taken away & how not just to reinstate it, but how we can improve on the status quo.

Why can’t we take this opportunity to educate folks on the services the feds provide from the obvious like Social Security & Medicare to the vital but invisible like telecommunications standards & research funding?

Democrats need to be shrewd. Their messaging must be accessible & PREEMPTIVE - swift enough to clearly link Trump’s executive orders & his plans to the changes Americans undoubtedly are experiencing or will.

Trump is betting on the lack of understanding Americans have of the federal government & how crucial it actually is to our everyday.

By dismantling our bureaucracy to the point of dysfunction, he can frame even a partial return to normal as his gift to the nation.
