06.10.2025 11:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I hope Rose Byrne gets tons of awards nominations for this movieβshe phenomenal. Looking glamorous at NYFF Thursday night for the If I Had Legs Iβd Kick You screening which appeared to like with lots of laughter despite some harrowing moments.
04.10.2025 04:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Jim Jarmuschβs new film Father Mother Sister Brother screened tonight at Lincoln Center as the NYFF63 Centerpiece; itβs a gem and one of the directorβs best. Jarmusch, Tom Waits, Adam Driver, Vicki Krieps, Indya Moore & Luka Sabbat did a q&a and the actors said they loved working with the director.
04.10.2025 04:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Will Bari Weiss be the next Rupert Murdoch? The possibility is horrifying.
03.10.2025 12:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0π’ I wish I had seen her perform live on stage.
03.10.2025 12:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wish I could have been there! But a rare screening of the silent film Beau Geste was playing at Film Forum.
30.09.2025 15:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was there, too. Ben Whishaw is a treasure.
27.09.2025 19:18 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A moment of perfection.
27.09.2025 12:09 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs so expensive.
26.09.2025 14:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He could have addressed them via video. A waste of taxpayersβ money.
26.09.2025 14:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well you can thank Chris Christie, a Republican, for getting the ball rolling to end public television in NJ.
24.09.2025 14:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@npr.org Sorry, no. There is no scientific link between Tylenol and autism.
24.09.2025 14:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Russell Tovey with director Carmen Emmi at IFC Center in Greenwich Village last night after a screening of the excellent Plainclothes. I got to talk to Tovey whose work Iβve admired since seeing him on Broadway 20 years (!) ago.
20.09.2025 12:51 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Um, we may be forced to secede.
17.09.2025 12:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The dairy farmer surely will vote Republican again despite losing his shirt.
15.09.2025 14:13 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I saw Spinal Tap 2 today and I thought it was subtly funny and I laughed out loud several times. It was a perfect escape on a day I needed it. Full of odd jokes like the Museum of Glue. Fun seeing Paul McCartney and Elton John, too! (corrected for previous typo.)
12.09.2025 07:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Miller belongs in an asylum.
12.09.2025 02:05 β π 50 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1Both these films are showing at NYFF but I could only fit Nouvelle Vague in my schedule. It may be imperfect but I love the French New Wave so I canβt wait to see it.
11.09.2025 04:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is gold. Emmy for Morgan Spector just for the pronunciation of "Cuomo."
08.09.2025 23:28 β π 375 π 50 π¬ 8 π 0I wish I could agree here. I found his review offensive.
07.09.2025 16:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do better, New York Times. If Trump is declaring war on Americaβs cities, something is seriously wrong.
07.09.2025 16:44 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bilge Ebiri praised the film on Vulture. Iβd trust his assessment over the mean-spirited review.
07.09.2025 16:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It gets better!
06.09.2025 14:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0After a shaky first episode, Iβm finding The Paper amusing in a low-key way and the cast is definitely growing on me. Iβll keep watching despite the ads.
06.09.2025 13:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I liked the production but then Iβm a fan of Casey, Lorna, McKenzie and Kelly, all wonderful.
04.09.2025 02:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am not watching CBS until itβs sold to a non-MAGA owner.
04.09.2025 01:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The reviews overall are fairly positive for The Paper. I hope it finds an audience. The cast looks like fun.
03.09.2025 16:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs blatant discrimination and anyone who voted for Trump is all right with that.
31.08.2025 17:22 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Kenneth Lonerganβs You Can Count on Me (2000) has long been one of my all time favorite films, now in a 4K @criterion.bsky.social edition. I totally relate to the touching sibling relationship depicted. Laura Linney & @markruffalo.bsky.social are superb. The ending makes me tear up every time.
