Indeed - that’s the outwardly story, the real reason they were all so furious is that video games was a boys club and she didn’t belong. And her questioning their worldview probably made them think, look in the mirror and a brief moment of realization made them furious so they lashed back at her

I know they are angry - but I struggle with why they are so angry at people like me
