Hey I've been super busy and not checking in here. How are things going?

I'm thinking a lot lately about how we can outlast the current situation and get to work on the things that need doing regardless of who is in power.

Plant trees,restore watersheds, do everything you can to reduce heat island effects, grow and share food locally, learn and share resilience skills, organize with your community to care for each other

I'm Sabra and I write a bunch of stuff from tiny self help tools to visioning transitions to a livable future. Currently working on learning to write fiction. Nothing published or even submitted. Need support and encouragement. May delete this post...

Vision:
A network of loosely affiliated intergenerational co-living communities which host travelers and others in life transitions, hold space for wider community connection,creativity and learning, incubate groups and enterprises and generally serve as resilience hubs

Funding for physical collections including books at my local library has been cut from the city budget. I think it is a strategic cut to garner support for some type of local tax measures

The reason I'm so positive about aspiring writers is that I believe that:

* Anyone who can string a sentence together can write a story, script or book.

* Anyone who puts enough time, effort, and workshopping into it can write a GOOD story, script, or book.

* Anything finished can be fixed.

Heinlein and Asimov both had some short stories with these. Heinlein especially had some stuff set in period in his future timeline that was called "The Crazy Years"
