This Juneteenth, we celebrate the freedoms, the racial progress we have made, and the day that brought the end of the privatized slave trade. We also renew our commitment to eradicate all slavery in the US as it continues slavery in our carceral system. We recognize that our justice system has long targeted Black people for the purpose of slave labor in our prison systems. We recognize that 90% of ICE detainees are placed in for-profit prisons. Lastly, we recognize that the US government is one of the largest participants in slavery and human trafficking in our world today.

Our children deserve better than the injustice of the Supreme Court.

On this day in 2018, as part of that year’s MN Poor People’s Campaign, @propheticimage.bsky.social held an action in Mayor Frey’s office called “Beloved Community Means No Police.” We built a grave in his office for victims of police violence.

Maundy Thursday is a reminder that the same Jesus that lowered himself to wash feet, is the same Jesus invoked to celebrate the "deportation" of innocence to death camps.

It's ironic that so many Christians will celebrate the resurrection of life this weekend while having worshipped death all week

Theology has a logical outcome

Any time I being up Nazis being a Christian movement, I always get someone saying "Hitler wasn't a Christian" as a means to discredit the statement.

Christofascism isn't about being Christian, is about using Christian supremacy to gain power and carry out the logical conclusion of that theology.

If one thing is completely clear from the last week, it's that a large portion of our society will only challenge fascism after it harms the stock market.
