If it’s not for you that’s cool… but I am almost certain any fan of football could find a lot they love about the women’s game if they give it a proper chance. Last night’s game was brilliant, but I know the knee-jerk response from the ignorant a would be how shite they are at penalties.

I love(d) football but I’m one of the guys who hate the way it’s going. It’s shite tbh.

The women’s game offers me a lot of what I miss about the men’s game. Relatable people doing what they love at the elite end of their discipline.

One of the first things I advised was NOT to compare men’s football with women’s. That tends to be a default for the detractors. You should treat them as different entities entirely.

If I was a hun I’d be worried that the players they are picking up are now from a completely different bucket than Celtic. A season or two ago and we were linked for the same players… now they’re getting League One players naebdys heard of that we wouldn’t even consider for our squad.

There are countless hours of sport broadcast in the UK (cable or terrestrial) and yet it’s only women’s football coverage I hear being complained about regularly.
