It’s the same thing for me as when I really LOVE something and feel like I’m walking on air and then walk into a barrage of opinions about how much something “sucks”. 😂

Don’t get me wrong, I love experiencing things in fandom, but sometimes the pre-conceived ideas about what to expect or differing opinions adding to a maelstrom of feelings before it even happens makes it harder for me to enjoy something. Just because I have the shadow of that kind of obscuring it.

I didn’t either! But I am honestly so susceptible to being swayed by what “the group” (whatever group it may be at the time) feels is best to think, I’m actually glad I got to feel my real, raw feelings without prior seeds of expectation. 😂

Legitimately, the amount of abandoned “hobbies” and “skills” I have at my disposal is impressive, even if the actual talent regarding any of those hobbies is negligible. I didn’t even mention the piano, the guitar, the violin, or - wait for it - clogging and tap.

I can speak to a 3-year-old in 5 languages, paint a little, write a little, weld a little, crochet a little, quilt a bit, sew a dress if it doesn’t have to be looked at too closely, bake a bit, floral design well enough for the 90’s, mediocre woodworking, develop my own film, screen printing sort of
