Was spending the last few hours of 2025 looking for some good photos to post.

Thank you to JC and Julianne for being the other two Australians at the scholarship and always supporting me when I needed it. Thanks to Julianne in particular for calling me a boomer because I print out my documents 🙃

Thank you to Rami, who is actually way taller than I thought he was, for being a lovely person to meet and chat to. Thank you to Robin-Yann for the much needed advice at Gamescom. Thank you to Rebecca for your patience and giving me tons of guidance and fun chats in these uncertain times :)

Thank you to my German chums Jack, Alyx, Elina, Fabian, Mai, and others, my Dutch chums Jorden, Eran, and others, Diana, and the other lovely scholars I met. These people are instrumental in me deciding what I want to do in my future. I hope to come up to Europe again to say hello :)

First up, thanks to the IGDA, notably Jakin and Parker for the Gamescom/Devcom scholarship program. I can honestly say that it has changed my life, and has led to me meeting some of the best people I've ever met, whom I'll mention right now :)!

It's new years tomorrow (Australia), and I would like to look back and thank everyone who has assisted me over the past year.

2025 has honestly been pretty horrible, and if it weren't for the people I'm about to mention, I don't think I would've gotten out of it as sane as I did.

I have been fiddling with my stealth game and gave it to some players.
I was worried it would be too simple or not engaging enough, but players are spending hours trying to get the best times on each level!
I've been tightening the "dev times" as a result. I feel like I made something special :)

A play tester said my stealth game gets impossibly hard and it took them an hour to beat the game.

This actually makes me so happy :)

Showed my game at our monthly games showcase today and got a lot of praise. I feel happy :)

Very sad hearing the news about Rebecca Heineman :( She will be very missed, but she's in a better place now.

So utterly exhausted from SXSW and general IGDA work. I want to sleep for 72 hours.

When your game was just gonna be a 3 month project, but you keep going "oh that would be cool" and now it's a 1 year project 🫠

I really wish job postings would just say in clear English that they will not sponsor you on the page itself.

I know this industry hates juniors, but please stop having me rewrite my resume just to tell me I’m ineligible due to my location mid application.

I think services such as Discord or messenger should have a feature that is basically like “no you go first“ when you’re both typing at the same time.
