A request for help. I am looking for article-length examples of historiography that takes place and built environment seriously. I don't think exactly architectural history, but emphasizing people occupying and using particular places. This is a methodological example for an undergraduate project. 🗃️

Mais je pense qu'on arriverait pas à avoir une position consensuelle sur le sujet, particulièrement pas au niveau du groupe LSH.

Les AG de section (qui ont lieu à toutes les sessions) et ensuite les réunions de la Commission Permanente du CNU peuvent a priori servir à ça. En tout cas rien n'empêcherait de discuter de ce genre d'orientation.

(Et je suis totalement pour un shift complet concernant ce qu'on considère comme (1) une thèse; (2) un parcours doctoral!)

Je rejoins par contre totalement @claireplacial.bsky.social sur l'importance des COS dans ce genre de discussions. Et c'est plus facile potentiellement de faire bouger les lignes en COS qu'au CNU...

Il faudrait aussi convaincre suffisamment de collègues au CNU, ce qui n'est pas nécessairement une mince affaire...

Il manque encore des meubles et des milliers de livres.
Mais on sera ici aussi, désormais. Dans ce somptueux haut-lieu de culture et de résistance.

IMO the biggest differences between universities are:

- does the library have books (not only digital subscriptions) and a budget

- are there staff for support/admin work or is it someone’s second job

- do students have time to study and faculty time to teach

No big names or tech matter as much.
