In normal times, it would be a major scandal for the President to direct his AG to criminally investigate his political opponents to deflect from his own involvement in a major scandal β€” and for the AG to immediately announce she is doing it. The Epstein scandal and cover up just got even bigger.

Unbelievable. Trump-aligned figures are now trying to raid the U.S. Treasury by turning their own criminal and unethical conduct into giant payout claims and the DOJ is actually entertaining it.

So now it’s not just Trump insiders filing these make-believe β€œvictim” lawsuits sitting Senators are backing this scheme too, helping turn accountability into a cash-grab. They break the law, cry β€œpersecution,” and then try to bill the American people for it.

This is the new playbook:
Commit misconduct -> claim persecution -> sue the government -> cash out.

If this becomes normalized, every corrupt official will try to hit taxpayers with their legal bills. And yet somehow, almost no one is talking about it.

Odd that the DoJ is opening an investigation into the Epstein files since they said in July that there was no client list and nothing to release.

Count the ways they’re corrupting DOJ: Presidents don’t direct AG’s to open criminal cases, especially ones designating only Dems for investigation when POTUS himself is involved. DOJ doesn’t publicize criminal investigations & the AG definitely doesn’t assign them on Twitter.

Pam Bondi has now assigned a prosecutor to look into Epstein's ties to Democrats.

If this investigation was legitimate, why wasn't this investigation opened months ago?

If this investigation was legitimate, why isn't everyone mentioned in Epstein's emails being investigated?

Trump just said he'll be ordering an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's involvement with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase and other people and institutions.

Not on that list: Donald Trump. Steve Bannon.

The GOP Attack on Mail-Ballot Grace Periods Is Also an Attack on Early Voting Read more here.

NEW: After the Supreme Court agreed to hear a major GOP-backed case challenging mail-in ballot grace periods, Republicans are now turning to their next target: in-person, early voting. A successful challenge to early voting could have a far broader impact, affecting voters in 47 states.

Trump is opening an "investigation" because that precludes DOJ from being allowed to release the files.

Senate Republicans don’t want to bring in Jack Smith to testify before the American people to ask him why he subpoenaed limited phone data on 8 co-conspirators to overturn the election, they just want a quick $1 million check from the taxpayers instead.

Interesting how ICE flights weren't impacted by the shutdown. Just commercial flights. Yet we had to end the shutdown for the airlines?

Sure, Jan.

You would think that the 8 GOP Senators who are SO OUTRAGED that Jack Smith subpoenaed their phone records that they want $1 million compensation would bring him in to testify IN A PUBLIC HEARING to explain why he did this. But no, they don’t want to do that. I wonder why?

Today, the BBC bent the knee.

Yesterday, it came out that a NYT reporter had with emails from Jeffrey Epstein in 2015 that were highly damaging to Trump and were never disclosed to the public.

This is on top of WaPo, ABC, CBS all capitulating.

This is odd, it looks like the DOJ skipped suing Texas entirely. The Justice Department is now suing California over the new congressional district boundaries that voters approved just last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday in a post on X. Who are they going to sue, the voters?
