Anyway, to become better at this, I decided to do it more often, so now I have a year tickets to natural history museum and botanical garden, and I’m gonna push through my uncertainty and anxiety and sketch sketch sketch

2. Too many people around and it freaks me out. I feel like I need to hurry and like my attempts are being evaluated, although both of these statements are just in my head (I have all the time I need and nobody cares!!)

1. I’m not used to sketching live. In my experience it’s not the same as using pictures as reference, so my lines are pretty unsure

You know those people who sketch at cafes and bus stops?

I've never been that person, but I really want to! It’s such a great skill I could use while traveling or just being bored outside.
My problems are: skill issue and some kind of social pressure

I used to make a lot of colour studies, this one is my favourite from February. Somewhere at that moment I decided to focus on markers sketching, but now I kinda miss painting and sculpting with colours. So may be I’ll get back to it 💕

leaving an illusion that one day I’ll do it (never happens). But do I really need to be sure? Do I really need it to be perfect? Nothing is perfect anyway. And moreover, sketchbooks are supposed to be messy, just like our lives. It’s ok

As soon as I saw an empty first page, I thought “this is the one I’m gonna see every time I open a sketchbook, it probably should be perfect”. I suddenly wasn’t sure if I could do it perfect and wanted to do the thing I always do: ignore the first page, start from the next one
