these procedures to look younger or also get shit on if they age naturally. there is no winning unfortunately!!

It’s so pervasive! It’s always been a “thing” but social media just bombards everyone (particularly women + anyone who the algorithm considers a woman) constantly with ads + posts talking about some celebrity’s appearance and how they got a face lift or whatever. then woman get shit on if they do-

maybe this is what they truly meant!!

I think there are certainly things people can do to age better + feel better as they get older (take care of their bodies, exercise, eat healthy, wear sunscreen, etc) but omg let’s talk about how I started getting Botox ads in my early/mid 20s. can we live a little first!!

ALSO I think a lot of women get hotter and confident/self assured as they get older, I honestly can’t wait to get older (it’s a privilege not everyone has)!! I think we collectively (as a society) worship youth too much!

if I have to see one more “omg you look so good for your age!!!” on a selfie of a woman in their 30s/40s I will actually crash out. like have you all never seen an woman ever. do people think women just become hags when they turn 30 lol

I think part of the reason social media is exhausting is that you have 17 year olds talking about celebrities in their 30s “aging like a fine wine”. like girl come on that is not even old 😭
