Started off the week in Perth at the Australian & New Zealand Obesity Society Annual Meeting presenting my work on novel ceramide synthases & their anti-obesogenic effects.

Had a great time at ANZOS and exploring Rottsnest Island, home to the extremely friendly and fluffy quokkas!

Our latest collaborative work with Lindsay Wu from UNSW medicine is now available online in the Journal of Biological Chemistry. In this work we were able to show that CD38 mediates nicotinamide mononucleotide base exchange www.jbc.org/article/S002...

Institute’s Researchers Awarded Four NHMRC Ideas Grants - Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute Institute scientists receive ≈$5 million to support research into diabetes, obesity, aortic aneurysm, CHD and potential targets for novel anti-fibrotic therapies.

We're thrilled to have been awarded a #NHMRC Ideas grant to develop new treatments for obesity.
