Amidst the sweeping existential horrors right now (to which we all have an obligation to recognise and respond to accordingly) I am taking some joy in being involved in the kind of work which allows me- in explaining how social constructs work- to write the words “frogs don’t know it’s Tuesday”.

Quick question- what’s the BBC doing using an insidious and misleading phrase like “underage women” to talk about inappropriate behaviour with young girls?

You can’t be a woman and be underage. This kind of language deliberately takes the gut punch out of calling a child a child. This isn’t okay.

I use the word “endorsement” very deliberately here. There is no neutral party in the arena of human rights- you are either in support of them or against them- and platforming the voices of those against them makes you complicit.

My cousin and their partner wrote an important letter today to @newstatesman.com about their unacceptable endorsement of anti-trans rhetoric. I’m very proud of the two of them for speaking up and eternally frustrated that we are still fighting these battles in 2025. #lgbtq #humanrights #newstatesman

" (B) A person commits the offense of exhibiting a harmful performance to a minor if, with or without consideration and knowing the character or content of the performance, he allows a minor to view a live performance which is harmful to minors. For purposes of this subsection, allowing a minor to view a drag show, as defined in Section 6-1-200, is harmful to minors and punishable pursuant to this section."

One day after effectively banning porn in the state, SC uses the same "harmful to minors" argument to make it a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, to allow someone under 18 to view a drag show.

It should absolutely be illegal for companies like YouTube to bombard you with ads for weight loss pills. It is exploitative and cruel and we have to be more vocal about our right to not be passively absorbing these adverts for several hours a day. We cannot allow this to become normal.

I’ve had the good fortune in my life to not struggle with being overweight. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t obsessed over my weight for much of my adolescence and adult life. It doesn’t meant I haven’t watched loved ones suffer with- and almost lost a few to- debilitating eating disorders.

Since it’s all I’ve been getting on YouTube for the past couple of weeks, I have something not-so-radical to say…

Weight loss ads should be illegal. Weight loss culture is dangerous and insidious and does little to help the health and wellbeing of the average person.

Oof. Yeah I know this one very well, that's a devastating situation to be in. Sending my best to your friend, who is definitely not in that challenging boat alone. It's hard work but it's respectable.

It does feel painfully rare at the moment. It's a bad time of year for this kind of work, and I don't regret my choices, but wow. It sure is tough out there for anyone who is a fan of being alive and having groceries money

This index demonstrates the insightful correlations between the political climate of European countries and their approach to LGBTQ+ inclusion, equity & legislative protections.

It's wonderful to see someone articulate an issue which is so prevalent in so many "LGBTQ+" organisations. Many cis white gay men refuse to acknowledge the power and privilege they have access to and thus believe they are immune from abusing it. Thank you for explaining this so effectively.

People love to use the word “scientist” so loosely that it is no more than a fart in the wind. I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume the scientists in this example are NOT endocrinologists.

Yesterday I finally did something I’ve wanted to do for years- I submitted my book proposal to an agent.

The /Queer podcast has been my greatest love and passion project for 5 years now and I am so excited to go even further with the platforming of these stories.
