Lies are clung to because the truth terrifies. Humanity is not a collection of saviors; it is a force of destruction masquerading as righteousness. Even love is often selfish: a desire to possess, to control, to be adored. Sacrifice is labeled, yet it is transactional—giving with an expectation of something in return. Promises of change are hollow. A better world is vowed, but actions betray those vows. Recycling occurs while pollution continues on a grander scale. Marches for justice are held while suffering is ignored within the home. The greatest hypocrisy of humanity is this: The truth is sought, but cannot be handled. Justice is demanded, but accountability is rejected. Peace is longed for, while chaos secretly thrives beneath the surface.
