#Battlefield6 might be the most fun I've had in a shooter in a long time.

XDefiant was fun while it lasted, Killing Floor 3 is it's own thing, and getting to know Destiny 2 was great... but this is, finally, proper Battlefield again.

Let's hope they don't fuck it up between now and October.

Been playing a little #Battlefield2042 to get hyped for the upcoming #Battlefield6 Beta.

Now... I mean this both sincerely, and as politely as possible...

The map design in 2042 might be some of the worst I've seen, ever. Some of these could have been made by a monkey fucking a coconut.

Finally, and importantly, a major part of taking this break is going to be to try and find a new approach to what I do.

The same format I've been using for almost thirteen years is, sadly, a bit tired now.

I want to shake things up, grow, and adapt, while still staying true to who I am.

Before my break, I want to wrap up ongoing series, and I'm not going to rush things - so Transport Fever 2 has plenty more episodes to come, and I'm bringing back Two Point Museum (again) 'cause I've been having a lot of fun detailing in that game lately.

I haven't been posting on YouTube as regularly as I promised, but lately it's like the universe has just been throwing more and more shit my way to stop me doing the things I love to do; so I'm going to take some time off to deal with that shit, and kick the universe's ass a bit.

I'm just... really burned out.

Both of my PC's are acting up, I'm trying to get A/C installed in the office, my audio hardware is on the way out... but I'm also finally picking up a standing desk and ergonomic chair... so the office will be getting a bit of a rebuild soon!

Remember when I talked about my office hitting 35C and higher recently?

Fairly sure the temps have caused my GPU to burn out. Those black boxes all over Task manager (and occasionally elsewhere) are typically a guarantee that your GPU is on it's last legs.

So that's fun.

Today, I argued with Star Citizen fanboys on Reddit and was told to stop playing the game because I think some of the systems aren't great but could be so much better for everyone.

I guess I'm not a Real Star Citizen Fan™ because I haven't spent $5000+ on it over the last 12 years. 😔

Been running a 3080 Ti in the gaming machine for a while, with an older CPU. It's getting a little chunky in games like Star Citizen, and larger maps in Cities: Skylines II.

If all goes to plan, upgrading a 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 later in the year. Top of the line everything, switching from Intel to AMD! :)

Had nothing but technical issues these past two days. Lost roughly four hours of footage this morning thanks to it.

Finally caved and bought a new GPU for the recording rig that should, in theory, solve the issue.

Also, is it just me or is it tricky to tell the difference between one of my Cities: Skylines 2 videos and a Transport Fever 2 video at a glance?

Transport Fever 2 has been a lot of fun, so was Airport CEO, and Cities: Skylines 2... I just think I need to change things up, big time, soon.

Not exactly sure what that'll look like yet.

My office has been at 35c - 40c for a week. Not been great for the electronics, and tough to sit in for long periods of time. Calling an A/C company tomorrow for a permanent fix.

Things are a bit cooler tonight though, so hoping to bring videos back in the next day or two.
