Open Session on Tides and Coastal Flooding Tides are fundamental to many geophysical processes, driving ocean mixing, contributing to coastal erosion and sediment transport, and influencing ocean biogeochemistry and ecosystems. Accurate tidal ...

If you're thinking "well it's a bit more complicated than that..." then once you've admired the river, yes, we do have a tides session. The Open Session on Tides and Coastal Flooding: agu.confex.com/agu/osm26/pr... Come and talk about your favourite frustrating tidal science. #OSM26 3/4

I’ll be attending the ESA Living Planet Symposium 2025 in Vienna next week. If you are attending, look out for the exciting research DGFI-TUM will be presenting, and let me know if your! I will be involved in a couple of presentations on some of our latest scientific results in tidal research

We also hope to advertise the importance of in-situ data efforts for our future modelling efforts and if anyone has more data that could be useful, feel free to share it with us! Β lnkd.in/d7Xgqzxq

Pleased to share our publication in Nature Scientific Data, which is a result of an intense effort with some of my idols of ocean tides. Our manuscript aimed at producing a comprehensive and harmonised dataset of tidal information for both validation and assimilative purposes in the Arctic Ocean.

Yes we've only just had Halloween, yes it's too early for Christmas, yes it's not even AGU Fall meeting yet, but for some people it's not early to start thinking about #EGU2024! This year we've got a joint Tides & Surges, so no non-linear surge residuals caught between two parallel sessions πŸ‘‡
