I have multiple monitors. Running it in exclusive fullscreen means that I can’t interact with other monitors when the game is focused.

It might be a weird hardware incompatibility thing. I am using an intel cpu and it really sucks here.

(4/4) If you're even wondering how I figured this out, I tried dedicated Fullscreen mode in TS4 today for the first time in ages and it was unbelievably smooth.

I did some googling and found out that Windows 11 added another buggy feature for those using the windowed modes.

(3/4) To disable this feature in Windows 11, go to System -> Display -> Graphics, then uncheck Optimizations for windowed games. The feature only seems to negatively affect the windowed modes from my testing.

2/4) To be technical, the feature aims to reduce the latency (delay) if you play in Windowed mode, but it also somehow ruins visual smoothness. Here's the above comparison in full speed.

(1/4) I realized what's causing The Sims 4 to be pretty laggy even when the game says it's running above 60 fps.

It's a feature called "Optimizations for windowed games in Windows 11". Here's a comparison of it in slow mo.

Notice how less jumpy the camera is with it disabled.

It's interesting that one of the few things TS4 kept from TS3 is the swaying (if that's the right word?) motion for the romantic anims.

Steam deck sims 4 is great! Make sure to set your controller key bindings to make things a lot easier.

I personally like setting the normal speed to the back left button, and the faster speed to the back right button so I don’t have to use the trackpad.

I think they updated the credits list for the rerelease!

It's pretty limited. It's mostly just the ea tools of adjusting the hands, feet, and the root bind to reach a specific spot, but you can't do stuff like, a sim kisses another sim, but the other sim has a slider or something, so they need to rotate their neck and head to rotate a little bit further.

Yeah, it’s mostly meant for gameplay sim animations, I haven’t gotten around to adding a nice ui for poses yet. Maybe soon.
