these closures aren’t just siloed as closures either. they come with escalated theatrics of police violence against ppl profiled for a combo of race, class, Madness, disability, drug use, and so on.

showing up to oppose this as witnesses and as interveners is what keeping each other safe is also

the point i was making is to encourage the refusal of normalizing viruses (whether covid or the flu) which cause biosystemic harm to all; and mass disablement and death for too many ppl. all of which is preventable. public health + community care practices = essential

as much as i would love for the mildness of the flu and covid to be true, it unfortunately isn't. current public health practices allow for many thousands of preventable deaths and even more mass disablement to occur. updating our precautions to community care practices (i.e. masking) is essential.
