I've put off watching it because I worry that I know too much about the real culture of hockey and I would end up hating it. But I might have to give it an honest shot.

It’s worse than the tulip bubble. At least tulips smell nice.

I liked Season 2, but I agree that it's the weakest. Season 3 is all about King Lear (my favourite Shakespeare play) and stars William Hutt, one of the great Stratfordian actors. You need to watch it.

Just the first season?? I think the third is the best of them all.

Whole lot of Conservative MLA's apparently not on side with this, and apparently it's not quite clear what "professionally incapacitated" here means.

Their bylaws reference "incapacitation:, but in legal terms, that's generally a specific thing.

I am not a lawyer, but it sure seems like the BC Conservatives are trying to get rid of Rustad by using a clause in their constitution meant for a situation where the leader is, you know, in a coma or something

The BC Conservative Party just announced they have removed John Rustad as their party leader.

Comes hours after Rustad said he was staying on despite 20 MLAs calling for his removal, arguing there was no mechanism for the party to turf him as leader after winning his leadership review.

No surprise, but Carney's Liberals are down *fifteen points* in Metro Vancouver in just the last month. Alongside Quebec, the Lower Mainland is what led Carney to victory in the last election. angusreid.org/carney-smith...

He is, indeed, a business monster. And honestly, I think that’s what most Canadians want right now. The problem is, I’m skeptical that his policies are going to result with everyday Canadians having more of those dollars in their pockets. It might be a lot of sacrifice for little gained.

A potential pipeline is more popular amongst British Columbians today than it was during the last fight with Alberta. But excluding BC from the talks just seems utterly confounding.

It really is ridiculous. When it comes to trade talks, we act as if what’s good for Nutrien is good for Canada. If we’re going to act as if they’re an extension of the Canadian state, the least they can do is the same.

Potash is our most important commodity in any potential trade war escalation. And BC is also where any potential Carney majority government will be won. To me, this is just more proof that Ottawa thinks they can ignore BC.

For you, this is abstract. For me, they killed a guy in the gurdwara that I prayed in as a child.

Also, if it were up to me alone, I wouldn’t provide the Indian government a more favourable trade relationship in exchange for their ability to murder people at the place of worship I grew up going to.

I think that we can pursue a variety of national interests simultaneously. And that we shouldn’t feel particularly beholden or overwhelmed by the Indian government. After all, they also want things from us.
