A starling and a blue jay, covered in ice, on a spike with a seed cake during a blinding blizzard.
On a blizzardy Valentineโs weekend, a starling and a blue jay landed near a hanging seed cake. They pecked at the cake, but the starling couldnโt get any of the frozen seeds. Then the blue jay hopped over, successfully broke into the cake, and fed the starling. I was astounded.
