It will be the first time since the '70s there is no legal limit on the US and Russia's nuclear arsenals.

I was watching Shane Ritchie do a slightly tired turn in Dick Whittington last week and wondering what happens to panto when the Shane Ritchies of this world retire.

Our post-mass culture world doesn't really produce Shane Ritchies anymore. Both skills-wise or cross-generational fame-wise.

It's a powerful example of the misaligned incentives of contemporary society that Jimmy Carr is currently talking politics and philosophy on podcasts rather than spending a month at a Corn Exchange somewhere doing Panto.

Given the slow-and-steady manner in which British liberalism has been defeated and its achievements undone, perhaps "The Hannibal Society" might be more apt?*

Excuses aside though, I really regret that a proper treatment of how the promotion of TRT to cis men sits alongside increased restrictions on hormone therapies for trans people was the thing which didn't make it.

Just to chip in, I completely take that criticism on the TRT video. It ended up being a huge, unwieldy project with a lot to pack in even at 1hr+, and which was really up against a deadline.

One thing I didn't manage to squeeze into my recent video about Christian Nationalism is that Reform UK advisor James Orr has (naturally) launched a podcast.

And no-one is listening to it.

Regularly struggling to break 1,000 views.
