KM3NeT is a neutrino telescope with two detectors - ARCA and ORCA - at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. It is also an international consortium of research institutes and university groups collaborating to operate the two detectors - www.km3net.org

We had a new successful sea campaign:
1) We reconnected 4 lines previously installed and tested on node 1 to the newly deployed node 2
2) We deployed and connected 5 new lines to node 2

won the 2024 GNN Dissertation Prize for his thesis:
“First tau neutrino appearance, non-unitary mixing
and absolute orientation measurements in KM3NeT”.
It was one of ten submitted theses.

Yes! we have installed a second 'node' for detection units in the #ORCA seafloor network! A complex operation executed by ship crews, ROV operators and #KM3NeT teams on board and in the control station on the shore.

In a new #KM3NeT paper we show that the flux of atmospheric muon-neutrinos in the ORCA6 detector is in agreement with the HKKM14 model and with the values measured by other experiments.
It is a promise for more precise measurements with more detection units in ORCA.
