Oh, hey! I just asked a similar question but didn't see this first! I love a good yuri romcom-esque story. And I do wonder if it's because I feel less anxiety about things working out than in a heteronormative situation.

Maybe I'm unique, but I think there are a decent number of guys who like yuri romance stories, too. I wonder what the cause is there. Manga like "The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All" bring me so much joy ☺️ Do we assume they'll probably treat each other better so there's less anxiety?

I've been seeing more of those lately, too. Not surprising, I guess. I don't really understand their purpose, unless they're just farming clicks.

After 8 years, I finally ordered a new laptop. If my current one is unplugged it crashes & can take 2 hours to get everything running again. I can't rely on it for work when deadlines are pressing, so it was time. I do look forward to playing some of these new games y'all have been talking about!

As I've aged, I've moved from more competitive to the "I hope we all win" camp. I think a myriad of influences placed me on this trajectory, yet I can't help but wonder how much having almost the entirety of my professional life in Japan was a factor.
