I’m trans and I’ve been without healthcare since I fled Florida because I haven’t had the money to declare citizenship in another state yet. My Medicaid sits in FL while I currently sit in New Mexico as the most likely state for me to have a chance of survival as a homeless, trans, autistic person.

The king clause is the absolute worst, though. That’s the paragraph that officially changes us from floundering democracy to dictatorship.

It means if Trump or his allies defy a federal court order, nothing happens. The courts will have no teeth. No enforcement. Just empty words. As Berkeley Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky warns: “Without the contempt power, judicial orders are meaningless… There is no way to understand this except as a way to keep the Trump administration from being restrained when it violates the Constitution or otherwise breaks the law.” This is Trump’s Enabling Act—his legal mechanism to dismantle checks and balances and rule without restraint. This is what Hitler did in 1933: passed a law that looked procedural but gave him total power and neutered opposition. This bill would do the same. No meaningful oversight. No court enforcement. No limits on executive power. If it passes, Trump could write an executive order eliminating term limits—and there would be no court able to stop him. He already has loyalists in the military. The rest would be left to resist as insurgents in their own country. This is what Trump meant when he said, “you’ll never have to vote again.” This is the end of democracy. CALL your Senators NOW. Tell them to vote NO on the so-called “beautiful bill.” There is nothing beautiful about authoritarianism.

Trump’s “one big beautiful bill” strips courts of power to enforce orders. No oversight. No limits. He could defy the law—and stay in power forever.

They’re pushing hard on Harvard after it said “fine. Keep your funding” to the government and refused to comply.

They know if they can break Harvard it will be easier to break all the other schools. But if Harvard continues to stand strong, it will encourage all the other schools to keep resisting
