Dems should, contrary to the advice of some reflexive compromisers among us, respond by picking up the fallen banner of equality & opportunity. We should proudly champion it.

Zoomed out crowd shot of 34,000 people in downtown Denver with Colorado mountains in the background
Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.
This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.
Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.
And the largest ever rally in Bernieβs career (and obviously, mine too).

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.

18.03.2025 01:57 β π 17510 π 2151 π¬ 520 π 142Yesterday is a day I'd rather forget. Even with what I thought was proper paperwork, I was denied entry in US. So, they put you in a holding room, take your passport and phone, and wait. In my case 4 hours, sitting in a shitty room in Newark International Airport in New Jersey watching all the people being detained arguing their case...brutal..... After. 2 hours, was told I could either be held until an Immigrantion Judge could hear my case, ( could take days) or they put me on a flight back to Toronto. I took the flight, but they hold you for the last minute, than I was escorted to my gate by 2 armed us customs dudes, walked directly to the plane door, they give me an envelope with my passport and phone and I walk on the plane, last one on, and now people are giving me looks...ffs At least they didn't have me in handcuffs Sucks, but ironically, the young US customs guy in charge of my file or whatever was a good person. He knew the red tape or bullshit was happening, he was sympathetic and even understanding, a good person. As he was finger printing me, finger by finger, he actually was apologizing, and when he found out I was a composer, I did hear him tell his supervisor to treat me okay, But big regret not being with Amabile Choirs and Sherryl Sewepagaham and our songs this weekend. The Creator has different ideas than we....

Rep. Zooey Zephyr - My Wife - just gave an incredible speech against a drag ban in Montana. It was so strong that a Republican rose to speak passionately against the bill, chastising the sponsor.
The drag ban dies in Montana, flips 10+ Republican votes!
This is the power of representation.
The centrist and corporate wings of the party are obsessed with the idea that "the left" (whether that's like AOC and other progressives or like, rando college sophomores) are constantly embarrassing the party, but it's always the centrist swing-seaters who do shit that hurts the entire caucus
