What an amazing image.

06.08.2025 22:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bruiser just walked out of the kitchen and is sitting staring at me. There is only one thing to do.
[gets up to go feed]
"Is it normal for a cat to..." "Yes." "But I didn't even say what..." "You said cat."
06.08.2025 20:03 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Perhaps it's taken your measure.
05.08.2025 22:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did you scare the poor wee lizard?
05.08.2025 22:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Stache, the elderly dwarf tuxie I adopted despite her medical problems and gave a happy last year of her life.
05.08.2025 22:05 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And now for something completely different:
04.08.2025 18:23 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0From 2019: Ben reaches out to see if that hand has a treat in it, while his lady friend Jujubee looks on.
03.08.2025 17:27 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Mega murder mittens! Polydactyl pussycats are super!
03.08.2025 02:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, how gorgeous. I hardly ever see any butterflies these days.

01.08.2025 17:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And now for something completely different: cow faces!
01.08.2025 17:09 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cats regard requests to stay away as invitations to pile right in.
31.07.2025 22:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Now, if you'd said you wanted the cats to cuddle with you they'd have gone and hid.
31.07.2025 22:22 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks! I was wondering how long it might have had to go without eating to heal enough to get back to biting its prey, unless it could just suck it in whole. Google's telling me mosasaurs were probably endothermic so I assume they couldn't have gone as long between feedings as say crocodilians.
30.07.2025 04:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just came across this excerpt from Ursula Vernon/T. Kingfisher's acceptance speech when she won the Hugo, and it is just so her. Love, love, love her books, waiting impatiently for my copy of Hemlock & Silver to arrive.
30.07.2025 04:09 β π 10 π 3 π¬ 1 π 1Er, "mosasaur", sorry.
29.07.2025 22:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So whatever caused the injury didn't kill her outright, then, since her jaw had time to remodel around the crack? At least not immediately kill her, though she may have been unable to take prey and eat, which would finish her off eventually. How often/how much would a mososaur her size need to eat?
29.07.2025 22:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0LOL
28.07.2025 21:02 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Eh, gotta click the post I quoted to get the video.
28.07.2025 14:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well, here's an old photo, a pair of retired draft horses.
28.07.2025 14:09 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0And I thought having a wet cat nose and tickling whiskers shoved in my face was bad.

26.07.2025 21:54 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0She has you well trained. As do mine. My house panther, Freddie Mercury, will sit by his water dish and stare at me when he wants a drink. I am required to empty whatever's in there, finger-scrub the dish, and refill it with fresh water. Even if I'd already done that a couple of hours ago.
25.07.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Which is, of course, your duty as her human. Now go feed the poor starving thing.
