Thanks! I was wondering how long it might have had to go without eating to heal enough to get back to biting its prey, unless it could just suck it in whole. Google's telling me mosasaurs were probably endothermic so I assume they couldn't have gone as long between feedings as say crocodilians.

So whatever caused the injury didn't kill her outright, then, since her jaw had time to remodel around the crack? At least not immediately kill her, though she may have been unable to take prey and eat, which would finish her off eventually. How often/how much would a mososaur her size need to eat?

She has you well trained. As do mine. My house panther, Freddie Mercury, will sit by his water dish and stare at me when he wants a drink. I am required to empty whatever's in there, finger-scrub the dish, and refill it with fresh water. Even if I'd already done that a couple of hours ago.

Which is, of course, your duty as her human. Now go feed the poor starving thing.
