David Lynch passed a year ago today. I hope we all can absorb just a little bit of the energy he put out in his lifetime.

my first thought was the SAW (2004) bathroom

I woke up feeling really intense panic in my stomach, like someone was just staring at me. The panic got so intense that I felt TEARS welling in my eyes. I sat up and looked around and. I saw a head-like shape just rolling around on my ceiling. Soundless, bobbing like a balloon. I tried to shake my wife awake and she would NOT wake up, and it made an entire circle around the ceiling fan and then dissipated out the window I had cracked. I got up to close the window and immediately fell. My wife woke up and asked “Awww did you stand up too fast? :(“ , and I said “I just have to pee” because I can’t say “I saw a head rolling around on the ceiling and I need to shut the window so it doesn’t come back in.” Without sounding like she needs to pack me a bag for a grippy sock vacation.

I've seen a common trend emerging among younger people: Zero ability to maintain an ordered file hierarchy. Go through any post-Y2K zoomers' pc and you'll see millions of new unnamed folders and file names that look like you just told a bottom they're cute. Good luck trying to find ANYTHING at all.
