I JUST sounded the alarm in the Oversight committee on the fact that this administration has threatened to arrest elected officials and they have. A judge, a mayor, a Representative, and now a US Senator in his OWN STATE during an open press conference. Governors will be next.

Sen. Alex Padilla, who was just forcibly removed from a DHS press conference, is the ranking member of Judiciary’s subcommittee on immigration, citizenship, and border safety, which has “oversight of federal agencies with citizenship, asylum, refugee, and immigration enforcement responsibilities.”

This is the USA in June 2025: a United States Senator was forcibly removed from the Secretary of Homeland Security’s press conference. Members of Congress, wake up: this could be any of you. Stand together as one to check emergent autocracy, or watch our Republic fall, divided.

In a constitutional republic governed by the rule of law, this would be an enormous scandal and a major political crisis
