I wanted to capture the spirit of #Halloween in this art doll, so I chose a pallet of orange and black with a rich copper tone for her hair. I painted a bright pumpkin design on the dress and needle felted a little Jack o Lantern for her. Now Emily Lanternfire is ready for spooky season! #dollmaking

I had fun making this one. Aster Nightbloom's hair is made from rose fibre, which is very soft, silky, has a lovely sheen and is easy to needle-felt into the head. This art doll has already found a home. I'm looking forward to trying some more plant fibres soon #dollmaking #artdoll #textileart
