The reality of violence like this in America is that it is mostly done by someone with completely incoherent ideology, and when it is done by someone with a coherent ideology it is almost exclusively done by someone on the right. The guy who tried to shoot Trump last summer was much closer to being a supporter than a Harris voter and in the end was mostly just a lunatic trying to shoot someone for attention. That's the main ideology of public violence in America Don't start talking about motive or ideology before there is at least a suspect, or else you're doing a lot of people's work for them. There's a good chance the reality of this situation is much weirder than is assumed, and if it isn't, you don't lose anything by being cautious.
