The subplot here is just how hard it is to get accurate numbers on TCAS RAs. I tried a search on NASAs ASRS site and one of the required fields is report number. If I knew the report number…

I think I’ve had a handful in my career hand have never felt it necessary to make a PA.

The recent Southwest RA was in fact a reversal of the original RA which means one of the aircraft changed its trajectory after the original maneuver began. This could result in a maneuver that is obvious to the passengers.

I’m going to suggest that most frequent fliers have experienced at least 1 TCAS RA in their lives and didn’t even realize it because it was flown as intended and the pilots didn’t make a PA after.

So I went to the nasa ASRS search and it won’t let me search for reports unless I know the report number which seems kinda silly to me.
