A lot of career politicians don’t care about the commonfolk, just the votes they need for power. Its crazy how many people are ride or die for people who don’t care that they exist.

I think a big reason Trump won was because Obama is black, Hilary is a woman, and Harris is a black woman. Its still ingrained that politician = white old man, and thats what Trump is. There is also the yoyo of wanting someone who is not a politician then wanting a politician after each term.

Ive been buying a set of hardcover books about myths and legends purely for the aesthetics of the hardcovers and how they look on the shelf.

I’m always curious with games like these with how they are going to balance lore accurate OP characters with normies. There’s no way Sokka is surviving a fight against an Avatar, whether its Korra or Aang. Peak Korra is dominating these kids.

And we should try, even if its probably unachievable. Being 50%, 25% or even 10% closer to Utopia is better for everyone.

Too bad the Jedi don’t really exist. That Man-baby is so weak minded that one jedi mind trick would send him into irrelevancy.

That part of "fandom" needs to die. The harassment and attacks towards anyone involved in the project is pathetic. Especially when it's towards people were not a part of the decision making team.

Artists still deserve respect, even if you don't like their art.

Had SGU not been Stargate, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more. I was "mourning" the loss of Atlantis, and its "replacement" was something unrecognizable as part of the franchise I had loved.

But that's not the actors fault, and comments like that are pointless and only intend to hurt.

I think it's "natural" for fans of a franchise (Whether that's Stargate, Star Wars, Star Trek etc) to be passionately upset when the next entry in that franchise does not live up to their ideals of what the franchise should be. Using a franchise should be seen as a risk, rather than risk aversion.

To respectfully counter the sentiment a little. It's easy to say "We all like what we like and don't what we don't." when it comes to a standalone product, it's not as black and white when it comes to franchises. They used the franchise name in hopes to bring in an established audience.

I saw this coming. It will be near impossible to make a “conventionally attractive” human AI with out it looking 99% like someone who has an online presence. Its almost a deepfake, and opens them up to trouble when people are weird with an AI that happens to look like them.

When they do remake Knight Rider (again), I hope they take the lessons from the last couple of attempts. Keep it like a Samurai story; a man and his car roll into town and distribute justice. No large teams of supporting characters, just a couple recurring roles with lots of big guests.

It may be a bit of type casting, but I’d love a #KnightRider reboot with Alan Tudyk as KITT. Itd be perfect.

Same, I think it's because she's rarely next to tall characters eg Sui-feng. But when she's next to Urahara she looks short.

The concept has always been better than the execution. I think AC3 was the only good modern day gameplay. I want to play as a modern day assassin in a story that’s relevant to the animus story.

I am a big fan of the “modern day” storyline and what it adds to the franchise. But the one they had in Black Flag was one of the worst and I won’t be sad that the first person view of walking around an office looking for QR codes will be gone. At this point, make them cutscenes.

Hit a big milestone today. I’ve been worldbuilding for a couple of decades and I finally completed my first draft of a story. Theres still a lot of work to be done during the editing process, but I am just chuffed I finally hit the goal.

So now the Boomers are saying that Signatures can be faked, like they didn't build their entire banking system's security around signatures.

Maybe they should compare the happiness levels of the country, and maybe compare the societal services that each provide. They could even look at the kids see their futures in each country?

But no, definitely video games. Like it was the TV before, or even Elvis' dance moves.

Rewatching #HumanTarget (2010) with Mark Valley, Chi McBride, and Jackie Earle Haley.

Haley's Guerrero is one of my favourite characters from TV. Enigmatic, witty, intelligent, dangerous, and capable. He's just a joy to watch whenever he's onscreen. And his dynamic with McBride's Winston is gold!

Indeed. There were some good moments, like the Doug/Spock post credits scene, and I got a laugh out of Scotty rigging the button. But it was overshadowed by all of the cringe ham-fisted writing that came before it. Those moments could have been a part of any other story.

The Ortegas Brother seemed to enjoy being brainwashed enough to go on a second date. So Uhura got a slight advance in her arc even if it was very problematic.

Only real thing we got out of it was the Kirk/Scott buddy up which was neat. Though they stuffed that up with the "First name basis" line

And its all for nothing? Because none of the actors played a good Vulcan anyway. Even if we ignore the cringe racism, it was still uncomfortable to watch Uhura brain was a guy to be her slave. Its one of the worst eps of Trek in a very long time.

Trek normally uses allegories to shine a light on societies worst parts. But for this episode that decided to do the opposite and be an allegory for how comedic being racist is? If it were called 4 and a half Asians, where the Captain made his crew member carry his bags because he was half asian

A “science” reason for why they get logic, but then show only the worst traits of being a Vulcan because they didn’t have the discipline? Like, pick a lane.

And then to “fix” them they had to remember that they like being human? Like now the “science” didn’t work because they wanted to be Vulcan?

It's almost as bad as Code of Honor or the modern day equivalent of Angel One. At least those two were in the first season where the writers hadn't found their groove. Strange New Worlds should be past that.
