My little project here continues on. I'm fairly satisfied with world map generation and labelling. Just a few more tweaks, I think, before moving onto game elements. #indiedev

This is actually why I really like listening to lectures or reading non-fiction: It's like a cheat code to getting the most distilled version of decades of expertise.

Actually, reading your comment, I wonder if you could somehow weight reviews with an inverse relationship to time spent gaming?

For example, if someone has 80 hours gaming (in any game) in Steam over 2 weeks, their review might be tiered lower than someone who has 10 hours gaming in Steam.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to make a game. What I wanted to do was always way outside of my skills, but now I think I have an idea I can actually do? I guess #indiegamedev ?

A question worth asking is how to hear from busy gamers.

For me, in my friend group, we know the habits and likes/dislikes of each other, so recommendations happen that way. But those same recommendations wouldn't go any further, because it's all internal to the friend group.

You ever make something so bad that you just threw it out? Me neither, because I'm not rich. But I certainly just made the worst burger I ever made.

I honestly can't judge. People are desperate, and it's the sort of thing where you just get caught up in the forlorn hope of it all.
