Twin Peaks Day and the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine are the same day, and I don't like it.

I just got online for the day and am not sure if this is in reference to some new horror from current events or just a standalone joke, and I'm too afraid to ask.

Anyway, time to rage-clean my house.

I read the cited EO and I don't see where it requires universities to do this. Wouldn't surprise me that our Republican-appointed BoG is being over-compliant.

Wondering if one thing we can do is encourage undergrads to stay enrolled and keep registering for these courses as a political statement that will help threatened departments and disciplines survive.

UNC getting rid of its "US Diversity" gen-ed requirement in the middle of the semester. Given how obsessed university admin are with enrollment numbers, this is a threat to departments who teach these courses. I am not on campus this semester (and am just a grad student), but hoping to see pushback.

He's Baltic German, so not sure how it relates to current Hochdeutsch. Also not sure what to do with the Ue, but your version is what I have been saying in presentations and nobody has laughed at me.
