I think everyone should consider swinging their repos to a self-hosted solution like Forgejo, or even just self hosted Gitlab, because this does not bode well.
everyone talks about what theyโll do โwhen fascism is hereโ and i think itโs just safe to say we are in a fascist regime right now

That's so fucking infuriating. The water level is already ridiculously high and threatening people that live along the river because it hasn't stopped raining this year.
That's on top of every time he's here he closes Taft Rd with a barricade taller than the SUVs guarding it HES SUCH A FUCKING BABY
Ah, my excitement jumped the gun a little seeing test strips lol
The classes and studio time is paying off though, looking pretty good

10.08.2025 01:43 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Grats setting up your darkroom!
10.08.2025 01:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Basically the same image as the above but the mid range is absolutely roached out with magenta, the shadows are matrix green but have depth to them, and there's banding in the highlights
The same image as the previous one n this post, the mid range of the posters are somewhat normal but with magenta noisey shadows. The highlights are bloooown out and have serious banding. The shadows are like the previous one except the matrix green thats giving depth is being washed darker with the magenta tones.
The first one is shorting pins 6+2, the second is shorting pins 6+2 and separately shorting pins 7+3 again.
I think it would be cool to hook them up to rotary switches to mix and match them on the fly. Set a few pins to dump to one rail or another, like a cursed mux
A picture taken by the digicam in the above posts while shorting two pins, artificating the image. The most obvious change is the shadows are glitching magenta. The flash of the camera hitting the black bendy arm shows the grade go from white to green to a very dark purple right before it gets to the darkest part where it turns to a much brighter magenta.
Starting to get somewhere, what I believe are pins 11-8 don't really do anything, pins 7-4 kinda induce noise and change the toning, and pins 3-0 induce a ton of noise. Shorting 7 and 3 gave this
Also the flash is on by default and I don't want to click the buttons raw on the board to turn it off.
Its the still open back of the Samsung digimax s500 but with a tripod shoe screwed in to prop it up. A bendy helping hand is holding the connected LCD so that I can still maneuver the 12 wires coming off the resistor networks. The camera is pointing at a large picture frame containing random posters people have wrapped vinyl records in to ship to me
Yโall ever just pause what youโre doing to consider how unhinged it looks without context?

A zoomed in photo of the mainboard on a Samsung Digimax S500 showing 12 strands of magnet wire soldered to the legs of three SMD resistor networks
Picked up some 34ga magnet wire and it's substantially easier to use than the 38ga. Still need to clean the board, but all 12 data lines are tapped.
I tagged each one this time since shorting some pairs make it look like an acid trip while others turn the output black
Nice, I hope you enjoy it! This is my first real telephoto as well. I've used a 70-200 zoom on digital before but always second guess zoomed I should be.
Comparatively, this being a prime just makes it fun to work with the lens and, to me, 300 hits a nice long without being absurdly long
Thank you! It was definitely a workout slinging that 2.5lb brick of a 300mm prime offhand all day, but it was a total blast.
