I get attacked on here all the time. People demand that I make statements on Gaza because of who my parents are. I'm British, I'm not religious, and I've never been to Israel. I'm finding a lot of the conspiracy theories about us are more deeply embedded in perceptions than I had imagined before.

Yes, I should say, this is a personal philosophy. Not something I expect others to subscribe to. I understand why people think ISIS are Muslim — they claim to be! On the Zionism and Judaism, I'm a little suspicious of people eager to empahsise the connection (not you btw). I want to know why.

Without honoring them with membership in those religions at a devotional level. I'm not religious. But there's nothing wrong with any of the Abrahamic faiths. Their many wonderful members have proven this repeatedly. So I don't want to associate those good people with the perverts of their religion

I'm saying they're not "real" Muslims. I'd say the same for many "Christians", including the Crusaders, the Westboro Baptist Church — they're not real Christians in my eyes. I can analyse their actions in relation to the traditions of the religions they ostensibly subscribe to...

I would say Zionists are Jewish for sure. They can't not be. They're ethnically and religiously Jewish. I can say that as a Jew. I'm not a Muslim, so I'm very uncomfortable with the idea of associating Muslims and ISIS. I'm basically setting the bar higher for what qualifies someone to be a Muslim.

The analogy, or the idea that Zionism is a contradicion of Judaism? It depends. Many good people repeat complete fabrications about Judaism. The land we call Palestine today is "The Promised Land" in Jewish tradition. But the idea it would be realised through Jewish action is a recent development.

I would say they're not real Muslims. There is no independent arbiter deciding who's Muslim and who's not. They identify as Muslim, but they're also nihlistic terrorists who behead people. I don't take their claim to a Muslim identity seriously. They don't deserve to be recognised as Muslim.

It's Jewish to the extent that Islamism is Islamic. It's a development of ideas from the Jewish tradition. But in many senses, like how Islamism is a contradiction of Islam, Zionism in how it's implemented contradicts Judaism.

Yes 100% agree. As much as the internet should be a safe space for Jews, the overwhelming evidence I see in everyday conversation is much more compassionate. It's still a problem because Jews get neither sympathy based on kinship or as a vulnerable people, but it's better than on here.

Pretty much all the antisemitism I've faced recently has come from left-wing, white people. Muslims and Jews are not natural enemies. We have so much more in common than the vast majority of groups. But there are idiots with power who benefit from telling us we're different.

Also, the idea that certain groups cannot integrate. We Jews have heard this before. It's pernicious, because integration is immeasurable. So it can't be disproven. That means people can stoke up a feeling in people over time that persuades them to support extreme policies.

Well, I'd say good luck to the administration with telling a story about economic success after this. Any sovereign nation has the right to manage migration and deport people. But when a nation does so knowing it will cause economic harm, it's hard to argue there's reason beyond racism.
