This World AIDS Day, we remember the hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers lost to HIV and AIDS, and those living with HIV today. We must remind ourselves and each other that the fight isn’t over until the epidemic is over for everyone.

i spent a little while going through the AIDS quilt and picked out a few panels that stuck out to me for one reason or another. may the memories of all these beautiful, far too young souls be a blessing.

Absolutely has been progress. My uncle was diagnosed in the early 80s. I was just a kid but grew up going to AIDS walks & AIDS events. He is one of the lucky ones. He is in his late 60s & has a husband. Its not gone. There is SO much more hope🫂

Thinking about folk we lost to AIDS when I worked in SF during the earliest awareness of the crisis.
