I had a fantastic night at the Ellington Colliery Brass Band Centenary Concert at St. John’s in Ashington, celebrating 100 years and looking forward to 100 more!

As always, I was moved by our local traditional "Colliers Requiem," and it was heartwarming to see families involved in the performance.

Wowza what a day for a great bunch of people determined to support their communities and get to County Hall in the May elections to do just that!

I attended a moving service at the county hall for Holocaust Memorial Day. We heard from a Ukrainian refugee who shared their recent experiences, as well as from Holocaust survivors. School children read poems, and Rabbi Lipsy gave a blessing. It was a truly powerful event. #HMD2025

Today is Holocaust memorial day and the theme this year is ‘A Better Fututre’.

This year marks the 80th year of the liberation of Auschwitz which is an important part to remember.

Later today I will attend the County Hall service along with colleagues to remember #hmd2025

This afternoon I’ve been out speaking to residents in Cramlington alongside Labour’s fantastic Cramlington South East candidate Allan Hepple and the Northumberland Labour team.

Allan’s got a record of delivery for residents and would be a great addition to County Hall.

Lionesses star Lucy Bronze to be made Freewoman of Northumberland The move was approved by the county council in recognition of her services to football

Labour leader Scott Dickinson backed the motion to honour Bronze. He said: "It is true to to recognise the contribution she has made across #Northumberland.”

Yesterday, I was pleased to welcome the Minister for the Future of Roads to Northumberland. We discussed infrastructure plans, focusing particularly on the funds allocated to #Northumberland to address the backlog of potholes and necessary road repairs.

Great news! After 14 long years of Tory cuts to Northumberland County Council, exceeding £130 million, the Council has finally received a financial boost of £20.2 million from the Labour Government.

This long overdue injustice is really important locally with so many former mineworkers benefitting from this change. 👇🌹

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for placing your trust in me once again as I seek re-election. It truly is an honor to represent our community! Over the years, I’ve poured my heart into this role, and I genuinely hope to continue making a positive impact.

I welcome the government’s decision to remove the deadline for registering historic rights of way. The deadline set by the Conservative government would have resulted in the permanent loss of many historic paths, which would have been a significant loss in a county like ours. #Northumberland
