Having already taken a number of special journeys on the line over the 18 months before official opening, yesterday was our first proper 'passenger trip' to Ashington.
And, my word - if ever the "if you build it, they will come" adage held true, the images speak for themselves!

Train delays after UK rail network hit by nationwide fault
National Rail says it is investigating a fault with an emergency radio system used to communicate with drivers.
TRAVEL ADVISORY:
It might be worth checking with National Rail as to journey times or disruptions today - not so much just the weather, but because of a specific technical issue this morning affecting signalling nationally...

Northumberland Line to reopen to passengers on 15 December
Ashington and Seaton Delaval stations are finished, but four more will not open until 2025.
Thrilled to hear confirmation yesterday that the Northumberland Line will officially open to passengers on 15th December.
It's been a long campaign, including groups such as #SenRug and the actions of one of our own Directors over 19 years!
Well done all involved!
