But also, many library staff think going outside of the ILS is either not necessary and/or cheating. And it really isn't. LOL. It's the best way to find things and then you have to go BACK to the ILS to see if you actually have the thing. But it's hard to FIND the thing there.

Yes, they are good. Romance searching in a library ILS can be extremely frustrating for many reasons. It is always kind of a patchwork thing of searching the web, searching social media, and using some inherent knowledge. If you don't have that, it becomes so much harder.

I think it depends on the recording and the library's policies. And the format that it is in. Are you talking about like a physical disc or (gasp) tape? I'm guessing if it's a speciality library, they make keeper closer tabs on their things. But they may let you view on site?

And now I'm perusing the list for the first time in a while, they have also added dark romance. And I scrolled a bit farther they have TROPES now????? Wow, that feels so damn late.

As for the work day (ha!) much of which has been eaten up with this bs, I had a request for some large print classics so I've been tracking them down. It is surprisingly more difficult than expected. Trying to figure out if they are *really* large print has taken up a goodly amount of time.

Like, why are your phones like this? I did it, though, and lo and behold, success!

At lunch, I'll get to try this again with the insurance company and then maybe.....maybe....I'll be able to get my meds? Y'all. Is this what you go through all the time? I don't like it.
