Susan Collins says enhanced ICE operations in Maine have ended
In an early morning statement, Maine's senior senator said the decision came after several conversations with U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
1. Collins is a craven ghoul but also an incredibly skilled and shrewd politician who uses her position to her advantage at all times.
2. It has been much much quieter here this week.
3. No one on the ground here is letting up with support and organization.

The last few years have seen the largest wave of immigration in American history. All those images we carry in our heads about people arriving at Ellis Island โ we just surpassed that. Crime went down. Real wages went up. This is a fake problem. Enough is enough.

I'm sure ol' Jared has the data in front of him that says she was a wanted criminal - or he has to wait to get all the "facts"

i don't understand why so many people are so adamant that what ICE is doing is not the same as law enforcement. i disagree and i think a lot of the arguments ring very hollow, but more to the point: what's behind the desperate need to protect police legitimacy right now?
