The construction of Paisley Museum has been completed.

An extensive fit-out period is now set to get underway at the museum, which has been designed by international architects AL_A.

RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve

RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve has secured more than £19k funding from Renfrewshire Council to enhance its visitor experience.

The funding will be used to create an all-weather area for volunteers and visitors to rest, learn, and connect.

Our 2026 events programme has been confirmed.

The calendar of free-to-attend events includes Paisley Halloween Festival, Paisley Food and Drink Festival and the Johnstone Fire Engine Rally.

Our 2025 events generated more than £4.4m for the local economy.

The students will complete observations from classroom windows, or in the school grounds.  The observations will be collated and submitted to the RSPB.  Every class that takes part will receive a signed certificate from Sir David Attenborough — a lovely way to celebrate the student's involvement.

Next Thursday and Friday, 19th and 20th of February, we will be taking part in the RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch 2026 organised by the Numeracy Collegiate team, and all classes are invited to get involved. With a bit of luck, plenty of birds will be out and about.

The Heritage Group continued their research, yesterday afternoon, on World War 2 Blitz of Clydebank - March 1941. Heads were down, steeped in research statistics. Following this, the group watch a short film about the Clydebank bombing. All very interesting! 👍👍
