and honestly no hate, but I don't think the joke makes sense? it's a common joke to suggest that Trump will do anything if you slap MAGA on it but that's just never born out. it's like a 2015-era interpretation of the guy that he's easily controlled when he's turned out to be more of a stupid psycho

urbanists and train guys vibe to me like they want to exist on a different axis from the traditional left-right spectrum. they want Republicans and Democrats to both be on their side, but that's stupid because Republicans are anti-good things as a rule

a bizarre pattern I've noticed among Train Guys is that they think MAGA genuinely means what it says on the tin (that Trump wants to do some mass revitalization of American infrastructure or something) and not the fascist dogwhistle it actually is

one of the more surprising things that I've found from reading about the demographics of the homeless population is we basically solved the discrepancy between veterans and non-veterans a while ago but we still act like they're especially underserved for some reason
