The scavenger hunt will be anchored at our hot cocoa & life scoreboard station on American Plaza, where SLURMers will bring their findings to be judged. Everything will be readily walkable from the plaza, and buses, bikes, etc. are OK too! Basically all the challenges will be free -- bring a phone or camera. You'll get the list when we start! Seekers ask questions off a menu to the Hiders, slowly acquiring information and allowing the Hiders to draw curse cards, as they run around the map on UTA's buses and trains. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at American Plaza to group into teamsnod 2-3 & learn how to play. We'll play 10-6 or end early once all teams have hidden. Each team will need the ability to text and send photos in a group chat, share real-time location, and look things up online, so bring what you can on your phone. The rest reads as follows: SALT LAKE URBANIST MEETUPS PRESENTS: A Seventeen-Mile Loop of Salt Lake With Only Two Stoplights Saturday, October 18th @ 12p.m. American Plaza, 48 W 300 S A STUDY into the finer details of traffic laws: SLURMers on this route will enjoy total right-of-way over vehicle traffic everywhere except at a few stop signs, and they will experience firsthand a broad range of Salt Lake City crosswalks, including a couple of new ones. At the start of the ride, we will designate volunteer "corkers" to shepherd the group through crosswalks--this is an all-abilities, casual ride. ITINERARY CHANGE: Due to a scheduled bus bridge on the Blue Line that we somehow didn't see coming, we are adjusting the itinerary as follows:

Note that there will be a significant walk required to get from the 219 to the 126. If you wish to part ways to avoid the walk or to make any connections home, the 219 will go back the way it came around 10-15 minutes after we arrive.
