I remember buying the g1 then putting cyanogens og mods on it. Then swapping to the first few samsung galaxies. Galaxy 2s was so bad like gps stop working constantly, the service would claim roaming and charge me huge fees and samsung+tmobile gave me the run around. Swapped to apple it was so bad.

Zed with Claude Code as an MCP server for implementation stuff via the agent and using an API key for the top level querying that you do via the agent chat is a pretty effective "cap it at $200 a month but get insane usage".
