A world without Keir Starmer: Is it time to change the Labour leader? iandunt.substack.com/p/a-world-wi...
31.10.2025 10:59 β π 264 π 90 π¬ 125 π 38Excellent piece! I am sceptical that changing leader is sensible. But Starmer is so incompetent! Can he even find an effective director of communications or chief of staff? If I could replace him, I'd go for Miliband. He was Labour's best leader while in opposition. I think he'd be ace.
31.10.2025 11:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Farage slandering the victims of sexual abuse. No-one can be surprised henis a sexist pig.
29.10.2025 18:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You're not wrong, I am here in Finland (though I am British), and we have the proto-fascists in government!
29.10.2025 09:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Won't hear an argument from me. When Powell gave his Rivers of Blood Speech the entire political establishment condemned him. Meanwhile Labour are pandering to Reform on the issue of refugees. The Tories are Reform *are* worse though. They are talking about deporting legal immigrants.
29.10.2025 04:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Both Reform and the Tories are edging towards fascism.
29.10.2025 04:11 β π 7 π 4 π¬ 2 π 0In the podcast @bwalker.uk argues that Plaid won't benefit from tactical voting in the next Senedd general election. Why does he think that? By my reckoning if Caerffili had been d'Hondt it would be 3 to Reform, and 3 to Plaid. But if 3,000 Lab voters switched to Plaid, it would be 4-2 to Plaid.
27.10.2025 05:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0By my reckoning, if the Caerffili result had been a d'Hondt election Plaid and Reform would each win 3 seats. *But* if 3,000 of the Labour voters had tactically switched to Plaid, then Plaid would win 4 seats and Reform 2 seats. Food for thought.
27.10.2025 05:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am talking about the Polanski. He has ways said he is a populist. Populists like fascists, that is a given. Polanski has said he want to abandon Ukraine to Putin's genocide. He has said he wants to leave NATO. The guy is clearly an idiot.
25.10.2025 08:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Greens want to abandon Ukraine. That is tantamount to supporting fascism in Russia. Leaving NATO is a cretinous policy. Not a serious party.
24.10.2025 11:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Labour's campaign was all negative, it was atrociously bad. They're doomed next spring unless they find a positive issue to campaign on. With the new list system, and full PR, the zero-sum game of FPTP simply won't work.
24.10.2025 11:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They're both populists who love a fascist dictator.
23.10.2025 12:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0She's angry because people treated her with respect, despite disagreeing with her politics.
20.10.2025 17:13 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0You are merely displaying your misogyny. If you're arguing that Trump was preferable, then you're just proving my point. *No* woman would be good enough for you "brother", because you'll always find the excuse to choose the much, much worse man. Thanks for proving me right.
20.10.2025 17:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Your misogyny is rank.
20.10.2025 04:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And misogynists. The two times Trump wpn he faced a woman. Those two women were both ten times the person he is. More intelligent, more experienced, better in every conceivable way. But Americans preferred an insane man. Sexism writ large.
20.10.2025 02:52 β π 47 π 2 π¬ 3 π 1Thank you to everyone at the #NO_KINGS rallies for making your voices heard & being part of history.
The massive crowds were joyful, passionate & spectacular!
So were the signs...
This woman in Alabama was arrested for lewd behavior by three cops who went down on a dick.
20.10.2025 02:32 β π 2356 π 502 π¬ 167 π 28Well argued by Bush.
14.10.2025 11:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Never ever underestimate how much Republicans hate ordinary folk - including their own voters.
14.10.2025 08:12 β π 14 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Fuck 'em. I don't talk to some of my family members due to them voting Brexit. Cut the fascists out of your life.
13.10.2025 02:45 β π 11 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Interesting that the only example of service workers are doctors and middle managers. But the numbers of domestic servants was stratospheric in Marx's time. They were definitely providing a service, and definitely the proletariat. Marx must have ignored them too, I guess?
10.10.2025 04:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Literally all the problems the UK has are down to the Tories. Austerity screwed the economy, and Brexit exacerbated the disaster. Badenoch is a deluded fool. Leaving the ECHR? She makes Farage look almost sane.
08.10.2025 16:20 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0It is irrelevant because whether someone can become rich by work alone under capitalism has got nothing to do with whether Scotland should be independent. That is obvious to everyone but you, apparently. You just want to pretend the answer to every question is "independence", which is fatuous.
08.10.2025 15:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't disagree, but that is not the subject at hand. It certainly is irrelevant to my comment.
08.10.2025 14:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And yet the radical-right SCOTUS is rewriting the Constitution to allow Trump to do whatever he likes. Trump doesn't need an Nazi style Enabling Act, he has SCOTUS to do it for him.
